More cars - Automoblox from Maukilo

Automoblox Mini Set of 3
($29.99)

Yes, they are made in China and they do contain plastic. If this is a problem for you, skip this review and go admire the many other wonderful European toys available at Maukilo. Actually, that was a sticky point for me which is why we didn't review these award-winning cars when I first heard about them. But, the opportunity came up, and my daughters had a wonderful time.

So, this is how it works. You have three cars. They are made of European beech wood, polycarbonate plastic, and TPR rubber.

And, then they come apart into little pieces. When kids find out that they come apart, they get a gleeful look on their face. In no time at all, you have this...

As you can see, this toy is not suitable for children who put things in their mouths.

A few minutes later, you get this...

I can tell from Linnea's duck lips that she is thinking hard. Soon, you have this... three new cars!

And, these cars can be pulled apart and rearranged or played with. Linnea is "reading" the coloring book to her cars. Cars love a good coloring book :0)

Best of all, you can do it all over again the next day.

Maukilo has a variety of Automoblox to choose from. Automoblox are available in sets and individually in a variety of colors and in two sizes. The one's we tested are minis, which are the perfect size for stocking stuffers.

Arielle was admiring the picture of the big pink C9P Sportscar ($37.99).

Pink cars! Love it.

Automoblox have won many awards including the Oppenheim Toy Portfolio Platinum Award, Parents Choice Silver Honor, iParenting Media Award, and a Practical Pre-School Award. Except for the being made in China, I can not think of anything negative to say. Arielle and Linnea want more!

And, if you haven't yet, don't forget to enter our Maukilo Gift Card Giveaway. If you win the $25 gift card, you can use it towards Automoblox or anything else on the site.

EVERY time I hear about Automoblox, it is good.

How old is Linnea? Trying to figure out if these would be appropriate for a mechanically-inclined two year old.

Linnea will be three in a few weeks. I think it would depend on how likely the two year old is to put tires in his mouth.

The boys got their first big ones last week for their birthdays, and minis today from a friend. They are obsessed right now. It's the best new toy we've found in a while!
